An exam appointment may be planned as soon as the application is approved. However, the initial that the exam may be taken is on day 91 or the first day after the 90-day waiting time from the date that the re-application is approved.

Once approved, a candidate will have 120 calendar days to schedule and take the exam. Candidates who were failed in a review and wished to take a different HRCI exam type may apply directly for the new exam.

Candidates will not be able to take a similar exam more than three times in a consecutive 365-day period.
